20 years ago, Charles Bieler bought a 1965 Cadillac DeVille convertible, painted it pink and drove it across the country to sell Rosé. Back in 1999, the only pink wine most Americans knew of was sweet and came from California. Things are different these days. Rosé is now the hottest wine in the U.S. thanks to pioneers like Charles. But not all Rosé is created equally. With the rise in popularity has come an influx of large companies and lifestyle brands churning out Rosé just to stay on trend.

Find your bottle of Charles Bieler Rosé.

With all this Rosé crowding the wine aisle, it’s time to hit the road again! Charles is on a mission to educate the world on what makes a great Rosé with another cross-country tour in a pink 1965 Cadillac DeVille convertible. For the next three months Charles will be visiting cities across the nation, from Seattle to NYC and loads in between. About the Wine

This Rosé is made with grapes exclusively sourced from cool, high-altitude vineyards in Washington’s Columbia Valley. Bright citrus, Herbs de Provence and lavender give way to a creamy midpalete.

Bandol is the smallest and most prestigious region in Provence. We source our fruit from the village of Le Castellet, where it is grown on deep limestone soils. There is a bead of salinity in this wine that gives way to interwoven aromas and flavors of savory herbs, cherry, blood orange, almond and black licorice, all held together with a backbone of vibrant acidity.

The classic Provence Rosé profile is what every serious winemaker around the world attempts to mimic and for good reason. We source grapes around the hills of Aix-en-Provence. This wine is in total harmony, provides tremendous length, and shows flavors of raspberry, cherry, peach, and citrus.
